Talk events

The Art and Exhibition Hall in Bonn regularly hosts talk events with the aim of bringing scientific subjects to the public or to examine the scientific aspects of social topics. The objective of the talks is to combine concentrate, precise discussions among experts with an active participation of the audience. Therefore, it was the goal of the first series "Follow me" to raise awareness for the exciting dynamics of the ongoing digitalization and to illustrate the necessity of further intensive research in this field. The main focus of the talk series "ZWANZIG30" (twenty thirty) lied on cities as a social future lab. The presentators Ranga Yogeshwar und Johannes Büchs asked, how the rapid urbanization will alter our lives.
Under the title "SCIENCE ON" the German Research Foundation and the Art and Exhibition Hall started a new talk series back in 2017. The range of topics is oriented towards current subjects, which are related to the public and the science community as well. Supported by pictures and multimedia clips TV-presenter Cécile Schortmann and Kilian Reichert discuss with guests from the fields of research and culture. A steadily high reception by the audience and a positive media coverage document the success of the format, that is co-developed and produced by iserundschmidt.
